烤羊肉串 | Oven Lamb Skewers | Kao Yang Rou Chuan

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless lamb leg (makes 4 skewers)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes (I used Korean hot pepper flakes)

Preparing the Lamb

  1. Cut the lamb into roughly 1/2 inch cubes.
  2. Add salt, cumin, and chili flakes and mix.
  3. Marinate for 30 minutes to overnight.

Directions

  1. Skewer the lamb cubes.
  2. Put the skewers on a pan with edges so the lamb is elevated.
  3. Broil on low for 5-7 minutes (depending on your oven). Flip. Broil for another 5-7 minutes.
  4. Enjoy!

Note: If you have a grill with actual fire, you can use that instead of the oven!
