糖醋排骨 | Sweet and Sour Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs pork ribs
  • 1 ping-pong size ginger, sliced
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 tablespoons shaoxing (or rice) cooking wine
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons black vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar

Directions

  1. Add ginger and pork to the pan. Cook until the water released from the pork evaporates.
  2. Add star anise, cooking wine, soy sauce, black vinegar, and mix. Cover to cook for ~10 minutes.
  3. Flip the meat, then cover and cook for another ~5 minutes.
  4. Add sugar and stir it in. After the sugar dissolves, the ribs are ready!
